06/04/2011 - Pennoweth Primary School, Mural Workshop

This workshop started with a 3 and a half hour drive from Bristol to Redruth. The workshop was due to start at 9am so it was a 5am wake up call for Graff Workshop. Got lost once but arrived in time to teach a group of 5 kids from the art club how to create a graffiti mural. We spent the first half of the day in classroom learning how to sketch our names, the add 3D, or drop shadow, and then we created an outer space themed background as it was something they were learning in science.

Once we had a design we went to the wall in the playground and sketched out the letters and created a colourful space background. We added stars and space ships using stencils we created, as well as UFO's which may not have been in the science space syllabus but looked cool none the less.

Overall it was a great workshop with a good bunch of kids, and I got to go the beach afterwards as it was 2pm and very very hot still. Then on the way home got a call from Adidas asking Graff Workshop to come to a casting for an advert they were doing, so overall a very eventful day
